This has got to be the best day I will ever have coin collecting, While cleaning out my grandfathers air ducts for his furnace I found a stash of old lost money gone down the vents, all 5 cents for some reason? Here is what I found Please tell me if I have anything good. 2-1751-1951commemrative 1-1950. 1-1947. 1-1947mapleleaf. 3-1949. 2-1940. 1-1945v. 1-1939. 1-1933. 1-1931. 1-1936. 1-1929. 1-1928. 1-1922. And 1 american 1942. Searching for these made the dirty job well worth it for me even if there not worth much.

I'd say for finding that much change in a furnace duct, you did really well.

Well after calling my grandfather on his christmas vacation to find out how the coins all ended up there, he said about 30 years ago my fathers youngest brother had got into his coin collection when he was about 5 years old and started putting them in every little slot in the house he could find, he said for years they were refinding them in ther radios, couches, toys just were ever he had been playing. He was happy that I found them , but he gave them to me for the cleaning job. God bless grampa.

Hello, neat find, I'm always looking around my house for old coins tucked away such as the neat find you have. However, in my case, I just realized my house is only 2 years old and I'm the original owner
So much for finding any goodies.
It looks like you have two KEY dates in your possession, judging by the dates you mentioned. Have the 1933 and the 1931 nickels checked out by a grader! You never know, you may have an MS-65 worth thou$and$?

Get those checked out by someone who can give them a grade, and if you in particular are interested, I would recommned the 2009 CHarlton Catalogue of Canadian Coins. Its inexpensive- only $20, and it is invaluable in terms of descriptions, values, and information.

cheers!
