I have a bunch of Morgan dollars different years and wanted to know more about them. I was under teh impression that all coins had a letter on them identifying what mint they came from. I have a few that I cannot find that identifier. Attached is one example. Can anyone help out with that or can you shed anymore info on these. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

no mint mark means it was struck in Philadelphia. The others you'll see are S for San Francisco, O for New Orleans, CC for Carson City (generally rarest), and D for Denver (1921 only).
Feel free to share any other coins you have questions about!

to the site! Any CC dollar will be worth more the melt value. Also look for 1878-P 8TF, any 1893,94, or 95.

You will find the mintmark if any above the letters DO of dollar. with all the other replies. If I were to grade it, id put it at an AU-55 at least.
