Forgot I had this one stashed away and didn't think much about it until I just happened across one of coop's older threads showing two other examples of this form of doubling on the nostril listed as Wexler's 2011-D WDDO-001 and 2012-P WDDO-001 Jeffersons I believe. No idea how I saw this with these eyes but thought I throw it up here for some confirmation. Looks just like the confirmed ones for the two other dates by Wexler which are listed on Brian's Variety Coins. Doubling is seen in Jefferson's left nostril. Maybe a first discovery, who knows....... Thanks!
Edit to include: Here's the link coop supplied which has the above mentioned examples I pointed out. Tried to post the individual pic of coop's but was too big so here's the link in case you'd like to look.

Definitely a DDO and an unlisted one too, nice find! The doubling on yours is fairly strong compared to many of the doubled nostrils I've seen.

I have a few similar 2013-P DDOs: http://crdievarieties.com/doku.php?id=jn22013p

Thanks Tanman! I was pretty sure this one would get a winning vote. A little guidance here from you or anyone else if you don't mind. Is is worth getting attributed? Would it qualify as a 'first discovery'? I may have asked this same question in the past on another post, can't remember, the mind ain't what it used to be. If so, who would you recommend? Maybe ANACS.... Thanks.

Very cool! Looks like a new listing and a fairly strong one. If you wanted to get it slabbed the only TPG that would attribute it with the discovery listing would be ANACS. They will also credit the coin as the "discovery piece" if you send proof. Very cool!

Thanks CoinHunter for your comment and furthered confirmation. I assumed that ANACS was the route to go. Thanks!

If you want to get it graded and slabbed with "Discovery Piece", you would have to first send it to Brian Ribar and/or CONECA to get it attributed and listed on their respective websites. Then you would send the coin and a copy of the documentation from Ribar/CONECA to ANACS (ANACS is the only TPG who would label varieties like this. Also, make sure to note "Discovery Piece" on the form). The process is fairly costly, but if this is all just for your personal collection, whether it is worth it or not is completely up to you.

Totally clear on this now Tanman. Thank you for your explanation. I've always just been a personal collector and only sold maybe two ungraded Lincolns in my entire life. I really think I'd like to have a slabbed coin saying "Discovery Piece" just for my album. From what I know it's not a cheap process but I think that would be pretty neat.
