This coin has similar doubling on EPU, the house, etc as another post titled "1976-D Kennedy Half-Dollar Double Die!", but, there's clearly something going on with the "2" on "200":

Love to hear what you think may have cause this.

Thanks!

to the CCF!

The 2 seems to be showing a contact mark with displaced metal. As the two areas of the digit are aligned, it may
be damage from another coin's reeded edge.

Edit: I just noticed the damage just above the 2 in the field. The three depressions are the same shape and have moved metal in the same direction. This would tend to confirm that this is a contact mark from the reeding on a separate coin.

I'm thinking damaged caused by a hit--likely early in the coin's life (not a few weeks ago).

looks like a hit, note mark above 0 then hit twice in the 2.

Thanks again for all the feedback. Glad that there's a good community with collective knowledge and experience to help a newbie like myself. Though it seems like I should just stick to looking for <1970 and known errors on the Kennedy halves.
