Now I got a good idea what I'm looking for I remembered this little guy I put off to the side to come back to. I need the experts on this. They are almost straight across each other and I can see part of the Blakeley effect on the west side of the coin at his shoulder. I dont know about I guess that gouge above the date. The first thee pics of the rim is the East side clip. Last three are of the west side clip. If they are clips. Thank y'all

Damaged either in a vise, or hit the a hammer. Note the rims that were on the coin, are now moved inwards. So this is just a damaged coin.

Agree this is damaged, probably deliberately.

It is Damaged. If it was a clip there would be no rim.

@ Rothery..remember it's not a good idea to hold your coins like that when hammering them...could leave fingerprints...use pliers...

Actually looks like maybe needle nose pliers did that. Slipped and caused the gouge above the date. Well got excited after finding a actual clip. I had doubt when I saw them straight across from each other. Tossed to the junk bucket. Thanks.
