Just found this a few minutes ago. What do people here think? Possible DDO or just a ding in the right spot?

Looks like to me that area was flattened. Took it on the ear. Or that was a heavy Grease Fill on that area? Ive never seen a Grease Fill on the ear before though.

Where are you seeing flattening, Coop? The area I'm talking about is the small protrusion on the bottom outside edge of the earlobe

It looks very similar to the 2000-D doubled ear I found, but I just can't rule out a coincidental contact mark with this single image.

Ones like this I'm really not confident in giving an opinion one way or another unless I can look at it from a couple different angles with my own eyes.

I will say it has a shot at being a DDO and would be one I would try to get verified.

Thanks, Tanman. Yeah these things are very tricky. I have added it to my tube of coins I may send to Wexler some time.

I'm with Tanman on this one. These tend to confuse me a bit. Possible, yet it COULD be a hit. Not sure, need more angles.

See the image I added to the first post, so it could be easier to see next to your image. A lot of flattening going on with your coin.
