Hi,
Not sure what this error is and hope to be enlightened.
After scouring through Hundreds of pennies I came across this one. Very exciting!. Think I'm going to enjoy

To the CCF

What you have is a nice Grease Filled Die.
Please get in the habit of posting pictures of both sides of the coin when posting.

Welcome Ruben, nishto far vos.

I like your coin, like was say, some strike over the grease. More accentuated on the "Liberty" word.

For the missing "IN GOD" from "in god we trust", please if you can post here a most closer picture at a high zoom of that part. I thing it is very interesting (for me). Few time ago I start with my friends a study on struck over the grease. Conclusion: For us it is interesting because we do not have many different example of this period when the mint start to replace the old anvil and hammer dies grease with the most water dissoluble oil-grease and due to the mint policy I can not give the name of the lubrifiant. I will like to see a closer view at 300x or more the texture of the surface coin for this part.

Thank you, Shaloom

Silvio

Agreed, Grease Filled Die. No a huge premium, but still a keeper!

@ Dearborn, back in time the 2x2 was .01 $ or sometimes 3 for 0.01$. We have 'it no idea in that time that one day we can slab or caps our self. Today a 2x2 cost approx. 53 cents with staples, manipulation, binder and etc. For me 2x2 is no worth. 0.75 caps or 1.25 for slabs no employee to pay, no heavy binders (? theirs quality off?), storage place.. Was better most quiet times. Not to say driving with whisky bottle in your hands an offer to the agent a shot.
