Apologies for multiple posts. I'm working through a collection and some catch my eye. My view is that this coin looks good, possibly better than Fine but welcome thoughts and opinions.

to the Forum! It's hard to grade these coins with the incuse lettering, but I'd go as far as VF. There is good detail on both reverse and obverse and the rims are nicely free of knocks and bumps. A nice specimen!

Is that one of those coins that's big enough to break a toe if you drop it on your foot? I used to have some large English cents from the 1700's that would put a silver dollar to shame -- size-wise.

To answer @Kanga's queries: As a halfpenny, it is not particularly big, certainly not when compared with English pennies and twopences around the same time. England has never had a "cent" coin in circulation, and it would be wrong to think of the penny as a cent as there were 240 to the pound. The large copper penny was first issued in 1797. Prior to that pennies were tiny silver coins, mostly thought of as Maundy money although also circulated. Milled Copper halfpennies and farthings were made back to 1672. The really large coin - weighing two ounces of copper, was the 1797 twopence, and that you wouldn't want to drop - not least because it dents very easily! It was the only year they made them for circulation as the size made them unpopular in change.

Many thanks all.
It's a nice looking coin and certainly stood out for it's age so I appreciate the feedback, and knowing how to grade against age is certainly challenging.
This one isn't a large coin but I do have the large twopences, which certainly stand out for size!
