Not sure what to call the woody appearance, improperly annealed? There
is a crack along the center of the bust of the obverse and a big
lamination peal on poor King George VI skull to the rim. Lots of stuff
going on here are some pictures, any and all comments welcome.
The crack and peal seem to follow the light coloured areas. Not sure
if that was a weak area.

SilverDon, Nice coin, my gift for my birthday?

First: From far look woody = miss mix alloy.
Second: You speak about others things, but your photos do not show. If possible take close for lamination, quote: "a crack along the center of the bust of the obverse and a big
lamination peal on poor King George VI skull to the rim".

PS the lamination is my specialty for many TPG.

I'd call the appearance "Tiger Maple", a woody for sure ! Quite the lamination errors, often found along with woodgrain toning.

TerryT, you are wright. For this I ask closer photos. I like your name " Tiger Maple", is nice right classification, my opinion.

The die crack is there.

Nice example of flying exfoliation before the strike. Why before?, because we can see that the strike is present on missing part.

Very nice discovery, I have no idea of value but sure a very good keeper in errors-varieties collection.
