I am still learning so much but I am uncertain if this cent is struck through or something else. I would say cloth from looking at it but it is the same on both sides. Human damage? Your ideas please.
Thank you.

It is light so maybe soaked in acid for awhile. I would think a Dryer Coin or if heat was applied it would be closer to the normal 3.11 grams

I'm thinking a swim in acid.

Not to be skeptical, I respect the opinions, but I was thinking it should look more like these coins if it were an acid bath. One of these coins only weighs 2.85g. I'm sure different acids have different results, so another lesson learned.
Thank you.

If it was a strike through the coin would only show it on the side that the object was, not both sides. In order for that to happen the planchet would have to be wrapped in cloth before striking, or there would have to be cloth on both sides of the die, both of which are very unlikely.

This is 99.99% a post mint damaged coin. I'd say hammered in between leather after being heated up? Acid might be the cause, but to me it has more of a dimpled hammer look to it.
