I snatched this up on the street and acted nonchalant about it, only to find it's fake!! Does anybody buy these? Also, I had an odd experience trying to scan it. Infranview would go so far and stop - gave an error code. I'm wondering if this is an anti-counterfeiting feature.

No real value to them, just a novelty.

Yes. Most modern scanners, photocopiers and digital cameras are programmed by the manufacturer to reject taking images of banknotes.

I am surprised it still worked for this fake note, though.

I can do ones. I guess I'm out of luck if I want to scan my ten star note.

Sap, that's really cool. I didn't know that was a thing, but I'm not surprised when you say it.

Otto, I'd keep that just for fun. I do enjoy a few novelty pieces here are there. If I had even one of those, the kids would sick of dad pranks in a week.
