Because One of the things I collect is coins from broken or failing dies, I noticed this coin, which had die scratches all over the obverse. When I received the coin I was surprised to see the long heavy die scratch vertically through the nose. I sent these pictures to Rob Turner, and he was familiar with the reverse, R1T-A5, but said he had missed this obverse, which he had not seen before. This can't be the only coin like this, as the obverse die was obviously failing. It is a great addition to my small collection, and also comes under the heading Error Coin. Please let me know what you think.
