Looking logic to your photos( full coin photos will be welcome); I see the angle of photos took are: "ONE" is west and "DOLLARD" is east. The light can play with us.
Me personal I never see a same line words of a coin to have DD in two complete oppose directions (at 180 degrees). The specialists here in DD can pronounce better, because are something like 1100 different DD's.

Looks like MD to me, you will need to put a filter on your light source.
