I'm not sure the type of doubling this would be but it's super thick on both the obverse and reverse..

Not doubling. Maybe circulation flattening, PMD whatever caused it. Also a few to many pics.

I see circulation flattening--and perhaps a hint of an emerging Dryer Coin. 'Fat' looking details (lettering, numbers, etc.) are not always sure indicators of a doubled die.
