Hey Guys and Gals,

Check out the reverse of this coin. I need help to identify if the "N" and "E" in ONE are Doubled? Thanks for your views and comments!

As far as the reverse I do see what you are talking about and I'm leaning more towards some type of MD or DDD. Not sure. But... I would take a closer look at the obverse because my old eyes are seeing quite a bit of what looks like some really fat and distorted devices. They just seem much more robust than the normal business strike of this year and it could very well be from circulation flattening on the obverse. Not sure.... I may be off base but take a closer look there Bigwho.

@scuba1, thanks for the input. I see what you mean. The outline of the shoulder is a little thick... I am not too sure if it's normal for that date. I just ordered a new coin microscope today. I will put it under the scope and see what it shows. Do you think it's worth getting this coin graded?

As far as getting it graded I would personally not do it in my opinion. It would have to grade upwards of MS 67 in Red to even be worth it or you are no doubt losing $$$. Your coin is nice but it's seen a lot of circulation as evident by the nicks and dings. Not a mint state example.

Edit: I mean if it's a normal strike and not a variety regarding my comment and having it graded. If it is a variety then that is a different ballgame but you need to throughly examine it under a good scope to determine that yourself. Coppercoins.com Doubleddie.com and Varietyvista.com are good places to see some varieties of all the different years.

@scuba1 - You rock! Thanks for the tips and for providing the links and information. You are right. It isn't that great of shape. I'll do some more digging after we get pics from the scope. Thanks again!
