On the die chip, I'd call this one a break. Not a retained die break, as the crack does not go around the chip/break area, but through the center of that area. (interesting though, I've not seen that before)

It looks like the way concrete breaks then loses a chunk later on as it continues to break..

Like in the picture of my pool deck:

edit: Imagine the concrete as the die with the void.
