That is not a Canadian coin. It is from the UK
Canada coins say CENT
The UK coins say PENNY

Have asked a mod to move to the proper forum.

Hello and
I'm not sure what the variant is. Please let us know what you've spotted.

There are two distinct reverse types on 1982-2008 UK pennies, with the rivets in the portcullis appearing either as circles or as dots, but 2003 is only known with circle rivets.

The color looks off, but that may be just the photograph. These coins are struck from copper-plated steel and are similar to a US or Canadian cent, but look quite pinkish when new.

Hi everyone, first post.

The coin is a circulation issue with 109 bb (boarder beads). The Proof and BU set (Brilliant Uncirculated set) have 111 bb. The pointings on both types are very similar, so its difficult to tell at first glance, though the bb are closer to the rim on Proof and BU sets.

Difficult to tell what we are dealing with here. Has the copper coat been removed?
