Hello, I am new to pocket Change hunting and I came across this 1972 no mint mark Lincoln Penny. I believe that it has some press errors, but am unsure of what to do next or how to clarify for sure. Any guidance would be kindly appreciated!

It looks like a vise job. In a vice on edge. It seems like somebody was trying to make it an octagon shaped coin..

to CCF! with Dearborn about it being a vise job, nothing like that could have happened at the time of production at the mint.

Something like this would be a nightmare in the making if it just happened to be a variety..... That'd be just my luck and I'd probably throw up.....

The planchet doesn't look clipped. Appears to be post strike damage.
