Remember what die flow looks like on the fields? That is the flowing lines around the devices. The lines of die wear on the multi-hub die creation of the past. The following of metal of the continuous metal of rearranging from the hundreds of thousands of coins, it has already struck. Wrinkles to an aging senior die. These look different than the DDD we see on the single squeeze dies. Why? the profiles are different. The older devices we tall, the single squeeze are lower. The devices wear differently. On the older dies, the die wear shows on the outside edge of the sides of the devices. Loosing first there, because they are taller. On the single squeeze dies, because the are a lower profile, showing die wear ( DDD) on the fields. Thus we see less lines between the devices. They still happen, but are not as tall as they are on the older style, of higher profile devices. That is the lines we are seeing on this coin. While it looks like devices/previously struck devices, it is a worn die issue, not a double struck issue. If it was a previous strike issue, why is only this area affected?
