My 1924 St. Gaudens double eagle's sun and rays are not centered but are off to the right. Is this unusual and is there a name for the condition?

If in the event that you cant post pictures,
compare the position of the Sun on your coin to what can be found on Google Images.

If there is even a minor difference, your coin has to be called into question as to if it is fake or otherwise.

The next step would then to weigh it.

Better if you can to get some assistance to upload pictures to this Forum so that we can comment on it for you. You will then have our opinions, as well as forming your own.

NGC doesn't have pictures, but the number checks out.
Are you talking about the sun on the reverse? It may be a rotated die.
