I am wondering if I can opinions on storing coins in 2 by 2 saflips for long term...eg. decades...I dont want to deal witht he hassle of stapling the 2 by2 cardboard Mylars if the former are just as good. Thank you

I haven't used them to store coins for decades, but I do use them for medium term storage until I can transfer the coins into capsules. One definite plus is that you can see the coin very well through the mylar. There's no haze or reflection from the mylar so you can really look at the coin a lot better through them. I'm not a chemist, but it looks like there is no chemical interaction between the mylar and the coin ("inert," it is said). They don't completely seal off the coin, of course, so I put them in a box with some dessicant to keep the moisture out. Knock on wood, so far so good with the saflips.
