Those look like linear plating bubbles, a common plague on early zinc cents. I've never seen them in two directions like that, though.

On the obverse, the striations traveling SE to NW do look like linear plating bubbles as Numisma pointed out, but the striations traveling SW to NE look to be die polishing lines.

The reverse striations only look to be going one direction.
