The marks on the tops of the motto, look more like vending machine or counting machine damage. On the DDO-003, the area described in the description, are not what you have images of. Quote:

I'd hang on to it. Def looks like a minor DDO. Maybe even send it in for verification. May not be #3 but, it could very well be one that is not listed, yet.

I agree this looks like a minor Class VI. Difficult to say if it matches -003 or not as no good die markers are given for that variety, but it is definitely similar in strength/spread.

Thanks all for the feedback. Probably another unlisted. John1, definitely more than one fingerprint on the front, which is a shame given the nice grade condition overall.

Here is a SBS of all the 4 images compared with a normal 1940 cent. Looks like three areas are showing spread.  You might want to submit these images to see they would like to attribute it, or not?
