Looking on variety vista seems it might be 1940 DDO-003, 3-O-VI? No DDR on the reverse and now cracks for late stage die markers.

The marks on the tops of the motto, look more like vending machine or counting machine damage. On the DDO-003, the area described in the description, are not what you have images of.

Also looks like a nasty finger print on the obverse.

I'd hang on to it. Def looks like a minor DDO. Maybe even send it in for verification.

May not be #3 but, it could very well be one that is not listed, yet.

I agree this looks like a minor Class VI. Difficult to say if it matches -003 or not as no good die markers are given for that variety, but it is definitely similar in strength/spread.

Thanks all for the feedback. Probably another unlisted. John1, definitely more than one fingerprint on the front, which is a shame given the nice grade condition overall.

Here is a SBS of all the 4 images compared with a normal 1940 cent. Looks like three areas are showing spread.

You might want to submit these images to see they would like to attribute it, or not?

Thanks Coop for the combined image. My daughter is a youth member of CONECA, so I'll have her look into doing that.

Having the images all together helps to see the differences so much easier.
