Hi all,

Was getting rid of some small change in the work vending machine. It must have been out of dollar coins because it was spitting out 50c pieces instead. I noticed a 50c 2020 JC effigy. Looking at Numista it seems there were none minted for circulation. Is this correct? If so, someone's busted up a set for loose change. Maybe the mintage figures haven't been released yet. Unfortunately no 1977 CoA was forthcoming.

I got 1 from circulation early in Mar.

I dare say there's going to be plenty around soon enough.

Pulled a couple from circulation - both in pretty average condition. Hard to tell how common or scarce they may be.

You'll find that the complete final mintage figures of all coins minted at the RAM for 2020 will not be available until the 2021/2022 annual report.

The Royal Australian Mint says they have a mintage of 720k so they are a very low mintage coin! I have only ever found one while coin roll hunting but I never have got one in my change!
