I believe I posted this in 2018 and didn't get very far with it. I have now managed to figure out the basics, but there doesn't seem to be much more information online. I'm hoping someone here might have Treadwell's book on Buyid coinage.

The date appears to be of 379 (AD 989/990), but I can't read the mint.
Note the similarities to this coin: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces155332.html
I haven't been able to find another coin with the horned helmet/animal skull over the Shahada on the obverse. Mine also has an extra line of text on the reverse and is 54% heavier (6.296 g) than the dirham I linked to- I wonder if it's a double dirham or just a crude planchet?

The central legends on your coin seem virtually identical to the Zeno coin linked below, attributed as Amul, 379. Note the similar weight as well. I think the horned something-or-other is better described as a floral scroll. Unfortunately, I sold my copy of Treadwell during a cash crunch last year and haven't replaced it. The obverse center I read as similar to the Numista coin except that the 'Abbasid caliph al-Tai' is cited on the reverse rather than the obverse.

The reverse center I read as follows, citing al-Tai' and overlord Fakhr al-Dawla:

lillah
Muhammad rassul Allah
al-Tai' lillah
al-amir al-sayyid
Fakhr al-Dawla
wa falak al-umma
bin Rukn al-Dawla

That appears to me a match! Thank you.
