Hello! I ran across this cent earlier and have been trying to do some research on it, and now I need some opinions and thoughts! I have looked at quite a few 1989D RPM I could find on the web, but I cannot seem to locate this one, or maybe I am not looking at it correctly. I'm pretty sure it is an RPM? I also see a little split plate doubling around the south-east of the mint mark. And is that Die Deterioration to the right of the 9 and the 8 in the date? Thanks!

Split platting around the date, rpm would be fairly unlikely due to when it was minted. Photography is great, the cent pretty common albeit unremarkable, Value, sorry to say, 1 cent.

Not seeing a RPM, only split copper plating. Some say it is caused by MD. Also, a few to many photos.

It looks much different through a 20x loupe than it does a $14 microscope. There are three distinct parts-- the mm, then what 'could' be MD, and then split plating. Too many photos? No way!

Yes, but if it was a late die, RPM production was being ramped down, chances are against you having one. I read that cents were the first to switch over to stop using rpms, with quarters and halves were the last (Spilling over to 1990).I did not see evidence of a rpm on your cent.
