I don't know whether to rely on these grades to often. I have this coin, and I might get it regraded. Although, I looked at a BCGS F15 and I couldn't spot a difference. I compared to it a F10 from BGS and it looks better than a F10. Maybe your professional eyes could give some advice.

rare coin. obverse F15, reverse F12. probable not a good idea crossing it over as it would have the possibility to come back as F12 especially if it went to PCGS. those in the know dont go by the holder but grade the coin itself

I'd agree with the upthread, weaker reverse than obverse, F15 looks correct

Quite a scarce coin and expensive. I think F-12 is more accurate. If it were mine I'd send it to PCGS for crossover, specifying a minimum grade of F-12. I expect when the time comes to sell you would get a better price in the PCGS holder, even with a slightly lower grade.

I agree with going for a crossover, whether you feel the SEGS grade is accurate or not I think managing to sell it for the price of the grade on the holder will be impossible without moving over to a better trusted company

Collectors of circulated tough dates in this series (and there are many) will buy the coin, not the holder.

with coinfrog. if someone is going to spend that kind of $$ they know better than to go by the slab.

Wow. Congrats on your addition to your collection of hen's teeth. Agree with F12 due to the reverse weakness. Looks to be problem free and ought to be in good demand if you want sell it. Welcome to the CCF - Great first post.

SEGS Grading is not a basement slabber but not well recognized either. There appears to be some rim damage on your piece that needs to be examined outside the holder. I'd recommend regarding also. It certainly appears genuine.
