1967 P & 1945 P Wrong Planchet Error Coins?

RCarv Valued Member 200 Posts	Posted 04/01/2021 12:20 pm The 1945 P Wheat back weighs 3.09 grams.. The texture and color of the cent is abnormal.. Pls advise and thank you! The 1967 P also has textured feel, the coin doesn't look to be PMD, just a different type of planchet.. Report this Post to the Staff

Metal 'lost' to acid would account for a reduced weight. Not an error. Second coin--photos a little soft--appear to have post strike damage and a fair degree of wear. A flurry of smaller hits and dings, lots of tick-like rub marks. Larger, sharper photos may provide better information. Report this Post to the Staff

Looks like maybe a big ol' die chip or possibly a oc. gas bubble....can't tell from the pic, can't find my glasses...? Not that it adds value, just an observation..
