sale4coin Valued Member United States 60 Posts	Posted 04/02/2021 5:43 pm In my own words: PSD = Post Strike Damage, hence not made in the mint process. Lamination Peel = An impurity in the metal of the coin which creates flake like appeal. So this particular coin, is both can anyone explain this to me some more for better knowledge? Can it be safe to say this coin has PSD which caused an artificial lamination peel, hence face value. Any help would be appreciated. I am still learning. Thank You Report this Post to the Staff

Me I will explain you the terms: Lamination = union of two surfaces by different processes (press, heat, glue etc.) Delamination = apply only to alloys Exfoliation = reverse of lamination, separation of the surfaces precedent laminated. Your coin is clad which ask for exfoliation which is not this case. the others can explain better them the symptoms of striking or PMD. Report this Post to the Staff
