Just a quick question for an opinion, no pictures. Would you keep all wheat pennies regardless of the damage?

I have a 1958 D penny but it has a circle ground in around the top of the head and the body of Lincoln.

Guess that would be personal preference - I keep all damaged wheats in a bag marked "CULLS" - never know if you'll be able to use them for a metal sculpture, cleaning experiments, etc.....

Just worth face or bullion value (two cents?). Not a keeper for me.

Nope--better to spend and inspire someone else to become a coin collector!

I hoard wheat cents, but I do unload any that are cull (by my standards). For me, culls include coins which are bent, burned/partially melted, show acid damage, have unreadable dates, are caked with corrosion, etc., etc. I do keep those which are damaged in an interesting way.
