Hi
I am new to the coin slabbing process I would like to submit 10 coins to PCGS now I have a few questions maybe more... I noticed that when you go to submit they ask whether it's us or world coins can you put on the same electronic submission form two different types of coins?
And what I mean by two different types US and Canada if you can.... could somebody walk me through the process to do that on my computer that would be much appreciated...

If I submit a 1965 large bead that is a known type of coin, do I have to pay the $18 for attrition when it's already well attributed to that type of coin...

When you're putting in the declared value of a coin if you put it in that I only paid $10 for that large bead nickel or even less I only pay the nickel for it because I got it from a roll is that what it's graded on or if they grade it and we'll say that it comes out at an au 50 and an au 50 is worth above the allotted amount of we will say that they give you for the type of service do you pay more after the coin is slabbed to actually have it be slabbed so instead of the typical $38 would it come back and charge my credit card more if the coin is valued at more than what I paid for it...

So basically what I'm getting at with that last question is if I claim that it's under the $3,000 allotted because I only paid $10 for it if they actually find out that it is worth more than the $3,000 do I pay more than the regular $38 to have it in encapsuled. Or if it is worth more I only pay what I actually declared it as?

The reason why I'm asking these questions here is because you can literally never get anyone at PCGS on the phone and I figured if anybody would know it would be the people of this coin forum....

gunnern79, if you become a Platinum member ($249.00)you will get 8 coins graded free as a gift of becoming a member.

As for not listing the trend price I don't think PCGS will charge you extra, but if lost in the mail they only pay what you say it is worth or Customs hold them because the popper amount wasn't posted on your form you might also loose them.

I renew my Platinum membership every year send in your 8 free and add extra coins Canadian coins are considered World coins, US coins are not World coins to PCGS being in the States.

Hope this answers some of your concerns

1. You cannot put USA coins and non-USA coins on one submission form.

2. The form has a space for the PCGS coin #, use that space for the variety that you send in. For the large beads 5c the PCGS # is 170922. You will not have to pay for Variety attribution.

3. The value should be what the coin is worth. Note: convert CAD to USD when entering the value.

You has all the answers. If you are not member you past through a agreed dealer.

Average cost will be 80 US. For shipping I suggest Fed-Ex which has account with them and at the economy the deliver will be 2 says.

Expect for you a 3 to 4 months return. On bulk you can not mixt US coins and word coins.

Even I work with them when I send a variety or error I specified which because they do not look for.

Border declaration must be a cover for eventually lost and this declaration Fed-Ex take in consideration for lost. Fed-Dex will help you to complete free of charge.

For value for the TPG you can put estimative price not what they has on listing. You can go 50% of that list because the market is volatile and no guaranteed price is.

Calculate well your shot. Price paid + certification with shipping 120-140 CAD vs potential sell price, add your time, selling commissions etc.

Good luck.

I certify only what I put in auctions houses which ask for this, like Heritage. The rest, a collector buy the coin, the stamp or the banknote and not the slab.

Are you absolutely sure that you have a 1965 large beads nickel? If it isn't, you are throwing good money away to have it certified. A TPG is not cheap when from another country as seen in the above posts.
