Wondering if it is Struck Through Grease? The writing in Salt River Bay is wired? And it has a black shadow line going around the tree? And there is the same shadow black line around Washington Head?

I do not think it is a Struck Through Grease. Maybe struck through oil?

It is from an aging reverse die. They incuse devices are raised on the die. So it can't be a fill of grease. But I feel it is the case of a polished die that altered the raised devices on that die and it shows weak on the coins struck by that die. I feel we will eventually see this a lot on the ATB Quarters, eventually.

Makes sense. I take it the haloes are the result of PIDT?

Yes. But each time we have another clue, we know more about what were are looking at.
