Error - Penny And Maybe A Dime, Plus 2 Other Pennies

mforder New Member United States 20 Posts	Posted 04/05/2021 8:33 pm Hello all, I don't have much in the way of a good coin collection. I have them from when I was a kid. for the most part. Below are two recent itms I found in change and the other two pennies are for my coins collection as a kid. 1985 U.S. Penny found in change recently, it's not copper it has a silver color to it and I am not sure what that means... * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * 2006 U.S. Dime found in change, looks like a piece of it is missing but when I look at the flat edge I can see the lines. These two I have no clue.... U.S. Penny #1... U.S. Penny #2... If you know why these are this way or what they are I would greatly appreciate your feedback. Possibly someone trying to create error coins. In the future to avoid confusion, please post one coin per thread. Report this Post to the Staff

When you see a strange looking coin, try to imagine how it could be made to look like that with simple tools like pliers, cutters, hammer, and so forth. Just because you would never do it proves nothing. Coins are vandalized, dropped, run over and buried great regularity. Report this Post to the Staff
