Hey again,

I'm pretty sure this is the 1956 DDO, do you agree?

Is it worth getting graded? If anyone has rec's for what error coins have previously sold for, would love to hear them :)

Thanks in advance!

Just an example of a worn out die that struck your coin. The reason the devices are looking longer towards the rim of the coin is from extreme die wear. The '6' is showing an broken hub. That is why the bottom of the '6' id missing. No premium for this one. Just a Wheat cent to add to the wheat pile.

Agree with the above--a worn die, very worn. Does have a BIE die chip. Not a DDO, certainly not worth grading. Wonder what the reverse looks like?

What exactly are you seeing that makes you think a Doubled Die? As stated before - you do have a "BIE" variety cent caused by a die chip.

That's cool. I have yet to find a BIE out in the wild.

As for pricing, check out the sold listings on ebay or other online stores. You can't rely on listing prices because people can ask for whatever they want, but the sold listings will tell you what buyers are actually willing to pay.

Ah, excuse my ignorance! It's not a DDO, now I know it's called a "BIE penny" - thanks so much, everyone!
