1981-D-Nickel-Mint-Mark-Issue

I found this nickel in my coins and noticed the D Mint mark leaning way to the right and another letter or number underneath. Has anyone seen this before? Curious as to what it is, thought the community could help. Picture attached. Thanks.

Look at the coin itself. It looks like it has been in a war. But the mintmark has taken a hit. This is not a RPM. Just a damaged area.

Thanks for the input. If possible, I would like to send you a better picture. That last one did look like a war time coin so I used a different camera and it makes the Mint mark seem different now. How can I edit my post to send a better picture. Thanks

Well the mintmark is still not changed. So save your time and show me your next find. I'll be more interested in that.
