Hi, I am new to the forum and excited about absorbing all the info I can about unique coins. I ran across this penny and don't know if I am just seeing things or if this is something that was caused by being next to something for a very long time. Does anyone see the numbers right above the T on reverse? And if so what do you think it is from.

Please show us much larger images posted right-side up! These blurry pics only suggest a bad gouge on the Memorial building.

Across the columns is just damage. You will find out that 99% of the incuse of marks on a coin are from damage. only 1% are mint errors.
Rest in Peace

with the above statements.
All I see so far is post mint damage.
All I got from looking at this coin is a sore neck from turning sideways to see it properly.

Sorry if we come off being very demanding. Sharp, good sized photos are a must for us if we are to help. Coin photography isn't easy, so please don't give up on it (or us). If you have any specific questions about your photography, please ask, we'll help if we can.
