Texas cent. Made by putting a normal cent between 2 pieces of thick leather or rubber an then smacked with a hammer until it stretches the coin out. You can even see the flattened rim.

I take it your asking about the thickness of the rim Edge? Over sized planchet usually has to do with being a bigger diameter.

Please be more specific with your question. Oversized? Let's start with the weight in grams and the diameter.

The edge looks wider to me. That is because too much tonnage was used "I think". Kinda common.

is it lighter than 2.5g? The coin has some missing copper on both sides as if it was sanded a bit to remove it.
