Hey everyone! I found this 1994 penny and I think it may be a 1C DDR FS-801. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I'm not seeing a DDR either. Can you please get in closer with a good, sharp photo of where you see doubling?

This shows how the doubling slowly gets weaker as the die ages.

Okay, thanks, everyone. I thought I saw doubling where the red arrows are pointing, but I guess it must be something else?

Note the last image you posted. Look at the statue? Note that it is fading away on the coin. This is because of the die polishing. So there maybe some die scratches on the last bay area that you are seeing. But on the DDR, the height of the hub doubling is raised up high. Note the image I posted earlier of the different die states. Note the doubled die, suffers more on each polishing. Getting weaker and weaker. So the hub doubling is distinct for that die.

Thanks, coop. So, if I'm understanding you correctly, this may have been a DDO in an earlier die stage, but the die was too weak when this penny was minted for it to be considered a true DDR?

Coop is exactly right about later die stages/states showing a decrease in the details or definition of the device, in this case a doubled column. IMHO this is not a doubled die as far as I can tell due to the width of what we are seeing in the 11th bay that your red arrows are pointing at. There are several different variations of DDR's for this year but it also seems the doubled column(s) are very thin, stringy and narrow. In addition, these varieties also show a partially slight doubled column in the 10th bay as well which I am not seeing on your coin. Here is a good link from PCGS showing a 1994 DDR FS-801. Click on the link and then click on the pic of the coin and you can zoom in to see what I am talking about. Hope this helps you. https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin/detail/38102

Wexler lists several DDR's for the year/mint But it has to have definition of the outline of the columns. I'm just not seeing it on your coin.

The staining on your coin is messing with my vision. Can you post images of the obverse, a close-up of the top of ON (ONE), the date, and the bottom of bay #2? Please and thank you.
