Rothery Pillar of the Community 2145 Posts	Posted 04/10/2021 7:25 pm Aren't dies supposed to be backwards so the coin will read forwards (normal) when it is struck? Same goes for molds if metal was to be poured into it. Report this Post to the Staff

Rothery I dont think its a die just to see how they turn out before they start cranking them out. But I am no expert on this subject matter. True, but this is not what @glug has there. That klippe of copper is a likely a test strike, such as could be used to adjust how much pressure the dies will place on planchets. Or maybe just to produce a cool souvenir...
