To me it's not a CAC coin, but then I didn't think it would straight-grade either.

Missed this one the first time around.

Based on your first set I would have said AU Details. Based on the last set of pics I would have said certainly no less than AU50, possibly 53. IMO, they either saw something they didn't like about the surfaces and net graded down to XF, or were too conservative. To me, there isn't nearly enough wear to warrant below AU. I'd say it's worth a shot at CAC

I missed this one too! Neat variety. Is the coin listed as PCGS #6258 or is the #804401 ID?

This is the second one graded by PCGS then and the other one is a dog in VG8

https://www.PCGS.com/coinfacts/coin...9-lds/804401

Your example I at least am able to see the overdate, I assume that PCGS just based the designation on the VG example off the die cracks as that one is beat to heck in the pick up area around the date.

It's great this made it into a straight holder and not a details one, that would keep the value up. Not a big hope for a CAC sticker IMO on this example, I'm no CAC expert however.

The LDS is very obvious on the reverse, great looking die cracks, that die was certainly on it's final legs when this one was struck.

Thanks for sharing it.

Westcoin, Yes, it does have the PCGS #804401 designation. This is an upgrade of my previous one that is graded VG8 (that you mentioned above). I also have another coming back from the same submission but this one is PCGS #147889 and is showing the overdate, it graded VF Details. I have discussed this marriage in detail with the grader and he said that they require at least the "6" showing to give it PCGS #147889 (which is newer number for #6258).
Thanks for everyone's comments, very much appreciated!
