1946 D Lincoln Wheat Cent Damage - In Bezel W/ Loop

Depending on how it was mounted in the holder. Pressed in could damage the coin. Soldering it in place could affect the coin. So I would leave it in the holder to sell that way. Removing it might reveal a damaged coin worth face value. So the choices are yours.

Here's one I found metal detecting many years ago at an old school. first picture was fresh out of the ground. Never cleaned a coin until this one came along.

I always encourage the posting of additional on-topic photos! Really adds to the discussion and makes the thread more useful down the road. Interesting that you actually found one complete in the ground. Maybe that protected the dooflicky from getting knocked off.

This one won't get removed or sold, just added to my collection as a whatnot. I generally don't keep this kind of stuff and toss them in the cull bag, but this one gets kept.
