Saved this "from the wild" last night (change from local grocery store). The quarter looked and felt odd to me for 1965 as its in pretty nice shape for a circulated coin. From my "free Google searches" Weight of 1965 uncirculated Quarter is 5.67 grams. This one "obviously circulated" weighs 5.93. From what I read tolerance should be 5.78 (if my fuzzy math is correct ) for max tolerance? Besides the very rare 1965 Silver planchet error, are there others ? Thanks in advance for your time.

Looks like another plated over disaster. The reeds on the outside edges are not showing the copper layer?

Side by side with the 1965 on left (seems a litle thicker) ? with a mint uncirculated 1968 (on the right for comparison)

According to this post, tolerance is +/- 0.19 g, so up to 5.86 g is considered normal.

I don't think 0.07 g over is extraordinary for a lightly circulated coin. You can also calibrate your scale again for extra precision; I used to have the exact same one and I know it can vary by a few hundredths.
