Still normal. The Wide AM is the one to find. This is the normal one.

Ok ty you so Wide AM is what I'll look for what about on a 1998 penny wide or close?

Close AM is normal for this year.

Look for " Wide AM" on 98, 99, & 2000 Philadelphia mint cents. I may be wrong but I don't think the 1999-D mint mark cents have the " Wide AM" variety.

You are correct, Rothery. No 1999-D WAMs are known to exist.

If they did, they would be an altered coin. (Which I still say the 1996 example that was reported, was) (imagine a Magicians coin on a cent with the wrong reverse added to the wrong obverse) To wrongs don't make a right.
