Hi guys! I found this 1984 Lincoln and wanted your opinion on if you think that it is mint related or damage. The damaged lines are consistent and directly in line with the die lines. Thanks!

Seem to be polishing die. Not 100%, but seem like this.

Lines are from polishing, the date, mintmark and maybe some lettering (difficult to tell from photos) are suffering from split plating and beginning stages of zinc rot. Spend it or kiss this one goodbye.

I'm not convinced. Die polishing wouldn't affect the devices, and the coin doesn't appear to have been polished. Can linear plating bubbles ever look this clean?
Agree with zinc rot on the date and MM, not seeing any split plating doubling.

I agree with "Numisma", I didn't see first that we can see the zinc. If is the die polishing will not show the zinc.

Thanks for your input! Do you think that its worth getting grated just to see what is exactly going on with it?

Rolling lines on the planchet and slight grease mostly blocked that device. (note what is left there is larger than normal, telling me it is a part filled die with grease)
