Just picked this up and wondered what grade it might be. It looks doubled on the 3 in the date and the rim looks off center. I'm less familiar with the older coins and appreciate your help.

I'd go for VF, but it may not have been sharply struck to begin with so it could be higher. I think that TPG might give it a details grade due to the pits, not that it would matter to me much.

I'm with oriole VF but on the high end, more likely a weaker struck example. Not sure about details, the TPGs seem to be all over the place on these when it comes to grading as there isn't enough data or experts on their staffs to know much about the striking characteristics on each type and date.

The pitting on it doesn't help that's for sure. But I won't say it puts it into details territory right away either.
