Hello hlw1976. Can you specifically explain why you think your cent is on a Argentina dine? And we will need a better full photo of each side, thanks.

Everything I have looked up points to the metal. The lines through it was extremely different on the obverse and the reverse. The lines are the same.

Argentina 10 c was copper-nickel. Your item looks like the regular bronze/ brass US 1 cent.

Those lines could be indicators of a woody. If possible, please remove the coin from the 2x2 and re-take the photos--large and sharp. The 2x2's mylar can distort some photographic detail. Also, suggest adjusting your lighting (or camera settings) to achieve a better white balance. Consider using diffused lighting, like placing translucent white plastic or white tracing paper between the coin and the light source. Thanks.

Maybe you could do an overlay for us. Otherwise, it looks pretty normal to me.

Ditto! And I'd go with a "Woody" cent also. (improper alloy mix - gives copper cents a wood grain type appearance)
