This can sometimes help in evaluating your coin. That being said , what you have is Post Minting Damage ( PMD) No extra value but you can keep as a novelty. Have never seen that before. To me, it looks like this coin was compressed between a hard, textured surfaces. Is there a similar phenomenon on the other side too? The mark on the rim show it even after the damage that happened earlier to the coin. Also the file was solid as it on hits the tops of the devices. (face area) PSD. Spender.
