Hi guys,

I have this 2017 P Roosevelt dime and would like to find what is this piece of metal on the obverse rim above Roosevelt's head?

Looks like some of the Nickel cladding has come off of the copper core.

I've found a few of these on modern dimes. Mostly 2016-2020 dimes but they pop up every once in a while. Probably some kind of cladding issue but not large enough to bring a significant premium. Still an interesting find!

Yes I have also found a few other errors similar to this on modern dimes. So I am glad that you mentioned this! Have been wondering what this is for a while now..
