@ww, first welcome to CCF. Second, I've moved your thread over here to the unidentified item subforum as I'm not convinced that it is a world coin. If we end up figuring out what you have there, then the thread may end getting moved to the correct subforum as a final resting place.

Posted the piece on a Japanese forum and found out that the character usually represents England but can also mean hero.
