Personally, I really like them. I'd love to find a few sets like yours. Some collectors will be turned off, and that's fine. I love 'em. Very cool.

Bit of a pic overload. Interesting toning, but the two most "valuable" issues in this inexpensive set have major oxidation issues. To me this isn't worth much over melt value. to the CCF!

So you're the person who takes TrueView Pictures - When you angle coins just right under the proper lighting you can really bring out the toning - normal full on pictures - not so good looking. Kinda like "Closing time" - I'll take those coins home with me!

Mixed feelings . Definitely that set succumbed to a lot of environmental issues . Some coins are toned ok , some are not for my taste .

The Frank and Washington coins both have serious obverse ED issues. Look at the first images of each. Forget the color twisties that follow. C'mon.

I did go overboard on photos I'll be picky in the future I have mixed feelings as well. On one hand these are really unique to me I've never seen these dramatic colors on a coins in hand On the other Id prefer some actual proofs... These look circulated!

You has nice toning coins. I see two different causes of toning. do not thing this will affect the value. No. I will slab each one separately. Bring to the next ANA and you have the price for. We say this it is the air flow toning. the half was the most exposed. I like them.

First, Oxidation is progressive. The coins will continue to oxidize over time. Even if slabbed, they will not retain their present appearance indefinitely. Today's milk spots may well become tomorrow's pitting. That's a factor for consideration.

I'll buy any coin at the right price. Personally, while the ED is quite bad, the toning underneath is still nice, and depending on the price I'd be more than willing to buy it. This rule applies to any coin, not just these in particular.

Grape - Well of course there's always a price. To me, this isn't worth much over bullion as stated. You like the toning, so back it up, what would your price be for this set?

I'll take 'em for melt value any day, all day. Even at 2X. Even at ? What would I pay? Would need to see them in-hand, of course. For the record, I have a wide variety of US and world coins squirreled away--MS/PR++ slabbed, proof and uncirculated sets, wildly damaged (of an entertaining nature), toned specimens, crazy lamination peels, and whatnot. Many stuffed Danscos and boxes of 2x2s, and tubes. My numismatic window is wide rather than narrow, and I simply have fun with it all--just me.

Quote: You like the toning, so back it up, what would your price be for this set? $25. Full retail for a set is $35, though in shop you could probably haggle that down to $29 or so. I figure a $4 cut for the ED aspect and that's where I'd sit if I was a buyer. Any lower would be nice, but that's where I figure it out to be. If I was attempting to flip the set probably a bit lower at $18. In all likelyhood I'd have to market the coins individually which is more time consuming than a "perfect" OGP set.
